Listed as a Historic Monument, the château benefits from around 2 hectares of wooded parkland, some of which is enclosed by walls. The park features walkways and century-old trees, as well as interesting architectural features such as the chapel, the main facade of which is an early work by the architect Pierre Bossan, best known for the Basilica of Fourviere.

Although the foundations of the chateau date back to the 13th century, with elements from the 16th century, the facades and interior layout of the current chateau, which is in a good state of repair, still bear the imprint of the major work carried out in 1905 by architect Robert Danis (1879-1949).

In 1913, Danis was appointed architect of the civil buildings of the Château de Versailles and the Trianon. After passing the competition to become chief architect of the Monuments Historiques in 1919, he held a number of prestigious positions, including chief architect of the Archives Nationales in 1924.

The quality of this architect explains the quality of the interiors, in particular the remarkable staircase and its vestibule, as well as the rationality of the layout. Benefiting from a magnificent view over the Ain plain and situated in a rural setting 10 minutes from the shops by car. 1h30 from Geneva, 1h00 from Lyon and 15 min from Ambérieux en Bugey.

The château comprises 2 main buildings arranged in an L-shape over 3 stories + attic with 5 towers including a keep.

Its living space of around 1,100 m² comprises 24 main rooms, including 14 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. There are numerous outbuildings (dovecote, orangery, etc.). The old ornaments have been preserved, giving the château a very distinctive identity and making it a remarkable piece of architecture.
