333m² 9 rooms 5 beds

DESCRIPTION

A testament to a brilliant past, on the edge of a lively village with all amenities, the property is reached via a small cul-de-sac leading to the gates. Sheltered and peaceful, hidden behind tall trees, this noble residence only comes into view once you enter the grounds. Transformed over the centuries, it has retained its original harmony while offering its occupants spacious living areas, high ceilings, double internal doors and charming period features such as oak beams, original flooring and stone fireplaces.

Probably built by local dignitaries, the house has everything required of a large family home, offering a peaceful, private lifestyle while remaining within walking distance of shops and schools, as well as lovely open views over the village.

The 333 m² of living space, arranged over two floors, comprises a lovely entrance hall, two sitting rooms, a kitchen, a dining room, a utility room, five bedrooms—one with an en-suite bathroom—and a second bathroom.

All the windows and doors have recently been replaced with tropical hardwood, triple-glazed units. The oil-fired boiler was installed in 2014.

A large 200 m² south-facing terrace and a second, romantic terrace beside the château make the most of the views over the village and the rose garden, with its 400 rose bushes. And to water this beautiful park, there is a spring producing 750 litres per hour!

A beautiful wrought-iron greenhouse adds to the charm of the fully enclosed 7,700 m² grounds surrounding this little gem, whose noble stature is undeniable.

A very attractive added bonus: the contents, including furniture and garden equipment, are included in the asking price.
